Among the 32 countries we export to, South Africa is one of our established markets. We produce custom baseball caps, bucket hats, straw hats and knitted beanies for brands, importers, wholesalers and promotional buyers — OEM and ODM, from sampling through bulk delivery.
MOQ starts at 10 pcs for stock colors and sampling runs; mass production runs up to 500,000 pcs per month.
Mixing caps, bucket hats and beanies in one program
South African buyers rarely order a single category. A promotional distributor may need caps for a campaign, bucket hats for a retail chain and beanies for a winter push — and the cost of running three separate orders, three sets of samples and three shipments usually exceeds any saving from splitting them.
Because all four categories are produced in-house, they can be quoted, sampled and scheduled as one program instead of three separate orders: one sample round, one production plan, your labels and packaging applied across the range, and a single shipment where the categories are ready together. Nothing waits on a third-party supplier for the category we do not make — we make all of them.
If the categories need to land at different times, say so at quotation. How a split shipment is priced and scheduled is confirmed with the order rather than assumed here.
What we produce

- Baseball caps — structured and unstructured, cotton twill, washed cotton, performance polyester
- Bucket hats — cotton, canvas and nylon builds, plain or reversible
- Straw hats — paper straw and straw blends, wide and narrow brim
- Beanies — rib knit, cuffed and cuffless, acrylic and wool blends
- Specialty caps — trucker, snapback, dad hat, 5-panel, mesh and sports builds
Technical detail for each category sits in the buying guides: bucket hat fabric types, straw hat crown shapes, and knitted beanie yarn gauge are all covered in depth on the blog, so this page does not repeat them.
MOQ and sampling
MOQ starts at 10 pcs for stock colors and sampling runs. That entry point exists so you can approve a colourway or a construction before committing to a production run — it is not the size of a typical bulk order, which we build up to 500,000 pcs per month.
Sampling takes 3–15 days from artwork and material confirmation. Sampling is a paid service; the sample cost is confirmed together with the quotation.
Lead times, in three tiers
Bulk production runs from 3 to 50 days depending on the build:
| Tier | Lead time | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| In-stock styles | 3–7 days | Stock colours and existing constructions |
| Standard production | 20–30 days | Custom materials, colours and logo work |
| Peak season / complex builds | 35–50 days | High-volume runs, multi-panel and multi-decoration programs |
The full range is 3–50 days. Which tier applies is confirmed at quotation, once quantity, decoration and delivery window are fixed — including for mixed-category orders, where the tier is set by the most complex item in the program.
Logo methods and construction options

Decoration is quoted per method and per placement: flat embroidery, 3D puff embroidery, woven and embroidered patches, leather and faux-leather patches, screen print and heat transfer. In a mixed program the same logo often needs a different method on each category — embroidery on a cap crown, a woven label on a beanie cuff, a printed transfer on a straw hat band — and each is costed separately rather than averaged.
How an order runs
- Brief — categories, quantity, logo files, destination and delivery window
- Materials — fabric, colour and construction confirmed per category
- Quotation — pricing guidance within 3–15 business days
- Sampling — 3–15 days, paid service
- Approval — you sign off each sample
- Production — one consolidated schedule against the confirmed tier
- QC — in-process and pre-shipment checks per category
- Shipping — consolidated or split to your destination
Shipping to South Africa
Freight terms, port of entry and transit time are agreed with the quotation rather than published as a fixed figure, because they depend on volume, routing and season. For mixed programs we confirm at quotation whether a consolidated shipment or a split shipment serves you better, and cost both.
Questions buyers ask before ordering
Can I order caps and beanies in the same shipment?
Yes, and they can be quoted and scheduled as one program rather than as separate orders. The lead-time tier is set by the most complex item in the program, since the shipment cannot leave before that item is ready.
What is the minimum order?
10 pcs for stock colors and sampling runs. Bulk pricing is quoted against your target quantity, material and decoration method.
How long does sampling take?
3–15 days from artwork and material confirmation. Sampling is a paid service.
Do you ship to South Africa?
Yes — South Africa is among the 32 countries we export to.
How quickly will I get pricing?
Pricing guidance within 3–15 business days of a complete brief: categories, quantity, logo file or reference, material and colour direction, destination and delivery window.
Reading before you brief
Three guides answer the questions that come up most often in South African inquiries: bucket hat fabric types, straw hat crown shapes and knitted beanie yarn gauge. Each one names the specification you need to fix before a sample is worth making.
